Ok, I'm getting tired of this journal. The name came from that funny line in 10 Things I Hate About You, but it no longer seems funny anymore. I will keep this journal alive if you guys still want to read it.
Unless people vote otherwise in the comments below, my new LJ will be twilightfever. Add as friend if you want to continue reading my stuff :0)

I'm eating oranges right now. Well, not quite, because they are still resting in a bowl in front of me. I did my math homework, and I'm doing tomorrow night's as well. My theory is underdeveloped and too unoriginal. My college search is null.
I keep on wondering if I've taken too heavy of a work load for senior year. 4 AP classes, 4 music classes + Yearbook. It should have been a fun year. Now it's just a work year...
Excerpt from a UC website: The combination of excellence and affordability is a very powerful draw for our students,” says Lifka. Two decades ago, 8,814 students applied and 63 percent were admitted; 10 years ago, 24,986 applied and 46 percent gained admission; in 2003, 44,971 applied and 23 percent were admitted.
Do you think our generation has it a lot harder than the previous?
ShoRtyoTTergIrL: right ShoRtyoTTergIrL: right ShoRtyoTTergIrL: right. mmmmmria: yeah mmmmmria: yeah mmmmmria: yeah ShoRtyoTTergIrL: hah sorry. going nuts

So here comes that meaningful, reflective post that comes at poingant times in my life. I will ramble on and you will learn to love what I write.
Before summer started, that Wednesday afternoon I finished my last final, I wrote up a list (yes, one of my many lists) of things to do over the summer. While I seemed to live in a drunken haze all summer and consequently not remember what I did, most of the 39 that were listed are crossed off.
*pats myself on the back*
( List #4820745 )
If you read the above list, I commend you. Not an easy task :0) I bet you were super bored.
The end of summer creeps up on you without you noticing it. You didn't even know you were wasting time, that the seconds and minutes were flying by without your consent. Did you finish everything? Did you spend your free time wisely? Did you have fun? Were you a lazy ass? no/no/yes/yes. I'm sure I had fun without realizing it. It's only when you have fun that time moves so quickly. Stupid bad long term memory. What the fuck happened?
The last sunset of summer wasn't spectacular. The sky faded without anything spectacular. I was going to invite everyone to an end of the summer dinner, but everyone is still doing homework. Good luck with that.
The hardest year is over, just remember that. So I'll probably avg. 4.5 hours of sleep every night this semester, but at least we're seniors :0). I want to: Relax. Stay positive. Have fun. Always look to the bright side of things, as it says on my profile. Even though we're all probably going to different colleges, and become distant friends instead of close ones, I still love you all, each and every one of you that's on my friends list. If you're not my friend but are creepy stalker people who read my journal secretly, I love you too.
I will miss summer, but I'm not going to have any regrets. Regreting is a waste of my time.

As some of you may have noticed, Comcast recently raised the mail storage limit from 10MB per account to 250MB per account. Since Comcast provides up to 7 e-mail accounts, you are now getting 1.75GB of total e-mail storage. This storage is in addition to the 175MB of total Personal Web Page storage and unlimited photo storage through the Comcast Photo Center.

Senior shirts suck ass. If I ever got my fucking CAMERA CORD back *ahem*, I could take a picture and post it. It's green with "Seniors 2005" on it. That's it! No witty/funny/dirty saying. I'm so disappointed.
I got my schedule changed. Uber easy. There's still no one in Calc BC AP with me, but I guess that life doesn't always work out the way you want it to.
New schedule (almost the same as old one): 0: MB/G21/CC 1: USHAP/Civics/Econ 2: English AP 3. Calc BC AP 4. Bio AP 5. Free 6. Orchestra 7. Yearbook
I slept at 4 last night/this morning. I still have a tiny bit of David Copperfield left, but I'll finish that tonight. I read until 12, fell asleep, woke up at 2am when my dad came home, and continued to read until 4, slept until 7:30.
I am going to finish Bio by tomorrow night hopefully.
To Do: 40 Pages of David Copperfield (done by thursday night) Biology HW (done by friday night) Marketplace (4 more) (anytime) Pride Paper (this weekend) Watch David Copperfield (this weekend)
Stuff that I said I would do but never got around to: College Apps College Essays Scholarship Essays SAT II Writing studying
For those who haven't seen Thika's new house: it's fucking huge. I love it. Yay for Thika!! I will visit very often :0)
We put the whole marching band together today, and ... yeah. It was okay. It's hard for me to concentrate and be/play in tempo/at the right place. But I know that I can do it with a bit more practice. We got a new pit member today, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't really want to be in it. But she's making some effort, so that's good. We still need like... 7 more people. But I'll settle for 1 or 2 more since 7 is nearly impossible.
Schedule for the week:
Thursday: Finish DC Bio HW - Ch. 1-3
Friday: Doctor's appt. Marching Band 9-4 Bio HW - Ch. 4-6
Saturday/Sunday: Marching Band + Family BBQ/Performance (SAT) Market Place Pride Paper David Copperfield College Stuff/SATII Writing/Scholarship essays Unfinished HW
Monday: Meeting w/ yrbook advisor, Mrs. Paige College Stuff SATII Writing Scholarship essays
Tue-Wed: Slack off
Enjoy the last few days of summer. The end of summer creeps up on you like a shadow over your shoulder. It's unexpected, and you shiver at the feeling.

If there was such a thing as good pie/bad pie, my pies would definitely be good pies.
20 Tablespoons of pure fat (butter + shortening) Nice white flour Untold amounts of sugar + Apples + spices = Super apple pie
[Edit]: Never eat pie directly from pie tin. Always take piece of pie out onto plate, then eat the single piece of pie from plate.

This is what I have so far:
Here is Maria sporting her snazzy black shoes, a must have for this marching season and all seasons! She is a senior who enjoys photography, cooking, long walks on the beach, pie, movies, and the color brown. As part of the leadership staff and second year member of the pit, she plans to use her new-found authority to terrorize incoming freshman and turn them into pit players.
Anything else I should add?

What is it that makes me laugh? I have no idea. Austen's humor isn't the kind that makes you laugh outloud. When you read something humorous in Pride and Prejudice, you give a little smile inside. It's a wry, playful humor that only lasts a few seconds.

So Eddy brought back the computer today. Wiped out my entire hard drive...nothing left. I guess I have to start all over again. I'm sad... very sad. I guess I'll just have to live without the stuff I've accumulated the past two years. It's like having amnesia...except you remember everything, but have no proof that it was actually there.

More to say on the Maria front :0)
So yesterday, my dad found out that this guy he used to know murdered a woman. My dad used to live across the street from the murderer (he wasn't a killer then, just a little kid) and the kid would come over to his house often. He grew up, became a leader in the HK black mafia thing and eventually chopped up a woman. Fun isn't it?

[31 Jul 2004|01:35pm] |
I'm always in the constant mode of change. Change this, update that, tweak this, adjust that. I'm never satisfied with what I have at the moment. Once I attain a change, I get the urge to change it again. I keep shifting, everything around me keeps evolving. Never settle, never steady
Once I get my computer fixed, I'm going to re-do my room. Buy a bucket of white paint and paint my trims. Install new shelves on the wall where my door is. Throw away my bookcase. Buy white cloth with eyelets to make curtains....And once I'm done, I'm going to move my longing for change to somewhere else.

So from what I've heard so far... people @ Sony, friends, message boards...etc., I probably have to use the System Recovery CDs and most likely will lose a good % of my data, including all the essays I've written the past two years, the ones where I stay up until 5 in the morning researching and writing, editing, and spending months doing, all my photography that I've amassed, all my html/web design work that i've saved, and my lovely 3 GB music collection. I'll miss those the most, especially all the hard work I've put into my writing and photography. I tried crying and talking to my computer tower for an hour, but that obviously did not work out well. I'm going to try using Michelle's boot disk and then bringing it into a store to see if I can get it fixed. If not, bye bye 2 years of my life.

I'm tho tho tho tho tho siad that my regular computer isn't working. It was fine this morning until I restarted it ... and then nothing worked. If any of you have had this problem before or know how to solve it, it would be nice if you lend a hand.
RECENTLY POSTED QUESTIONS/ISSUES:
Hi, I'm a current owner of a Sony Vaio PCV-RX760 Desktop computer. When I turned on the computer, the computer stopped responding after the WindowsXP startup screen. During the startup, there wasso a new and unusual noise coming from the tower (a two second buzzing noise). After the startup screen disappears, I am left with a blank screen. Pushing the reset button only restarts the computer again, with a screen telling me to chose one of the following startup modes becasue of some kind of unspecified malfunction. All modes produce the same results/symptons as above. Is there a way to work around this/solve the problem? Before this incident, I had been burning some files on to a CD - which worked out fine. Also, I haven't been using my computer for the past week (prior to today). </blockquote>
And then this happened...
When I restart my desktop computer, a black screen appears with configurations? on it ... PCI device listing, BUS No. ... etc. But the Windows XP start up screen does not load anymore! It just stops on the the black screen with the white words. Do any of you have this problem/know how to solve it?
Grrr...stupid Microsoft/Sony are people who don't want to help me.
So I'm stuck here, hoping that none of my files got deleted or that my whole computer is fried.
I think I need another nap.

Only 5 months at home?
NEW YORK - Domestic icon Martha Stewart moved one step closer to a drastically different lifestyle behind bars when the millionaire entrepreneur was sentenced Friday to five months in prison for a stock-trading scandal.
Stewart, after appealing in a shaky voice for a reduced sentence, was also ordered to serve five months of home confinement for lying to federal investigators
It's so unfair that she gets to stay at home instead of going to prison.
Oh, she's 62. Did you know she was 62??

"I don't know about you, but when I was in high school, there wasn't a brutal, blue-eyed queen bee who spent her days ridiculing the school's one main geek (who, without her glasses, could be quite fetching). Sure, the hallways were filled with more popular and less popular kids, but the lines often blurred. The cheerleaders weren't always blond and idolized. The football players weren't always cruel and arrogant. The smart kids weren't always nerds.
So then, why is high school life in the movies such a load of crap?"

Anyways.
Summer is okay I guess. I'm relaxing, I'm getting some stuff done...I had some fun time. That's it right? Nothing magical.
